Sugar Cookie Bars,
Made by Ginger on My MisMatched World
I have a goal of doing a Pinterest actively from my pins once a week. Or at least post about an activity once a week. I will have some sort of link-up, so if you are interested in joining, you can. Let me phrase that, I WANT YOU to JOIN ME!
Sometime ago, I pinned this cookie recipe. Well, maybe not an actual cookie, but a bar. It sounded interesting, and I like interesting.
So, here I am, with the help of my son Adam, we are going to attempt to follow the directions.
Yes, of course internet, with pictures. Hopefully lots of pictures. You know how I love my camera.
Are these healthy? Nope. I am using white Flour and white Sugar. I do plan on, if these turn out yummy to switch to whole wheat or another flour with a better sweetener. However, they are homemade, with love.
This is a very easy recipe. Upon starting this thing, I realized, I will not be frosting these cookies. I am out of the powdered sugar. Also, I do not have the right size 13×18 pan. I have a 9×13 cake pan. By the time I was done cooking it, they were still NOT done. However, that said. Had I used the right pan, they would have been perfect. This recipe will be going in the Barber Family Cookbook for future use.
So, after the cool, frost with your favorite frosting. Put some seasonal appropriate sprinkles on and you will be set to go!
Here is a printable recipe. If it works of course. My first time using this. For the record, though they were not finished and I could not frost them, these are a WINNER.
