Sewing a Happy Camper
Sew….. (haha love that sew for so)
…..this month I am sewing a pattern called Happy Camper by Peek-a-Boo Pattern Pattern Shop. I have the fabric all picked out. I need to cut the pattern and start pinning. It is supposed to be done by the end of September. We shall see. The pattern so far does not look to be hard. I am super excited for this project, it is a sew-a-long.
Have you ever bought a pattern with a piece of fabric in mind, but when you went to go get the fabric out of your stash, it is NOT the right one?
Yup, I did that,
See, I had this awesome lime green, what I thought was velour. It is not. The front-side of the fabric is a velour type feeling, whereas the back, is terry toweling. So, that in the future friends will be a robe for Jacks. So, in the next couple of days, I am on the search for some pink camo fleece as per her Papa. He bought her a ballcap in the pink camo print with a “train truck” as Jacks calls them. In adult speak, it is a tractor trailer.
He has searched high and low for this hat in her size. The only store he had not looked in was a country store. He knew they would be more pricier. So, now she has one. Complete with a “train truck” . That’s Jacks speak for semi-truck. So cute!
So, because of not having fabric, and needing to get my husband from work earlier, I do not have a photo for this post.
I dislike not having a photo. Soon,
I will go and find some fabric and will start this project. Let me know if you want to sew along with me? I know it will not be done by the end of the month.
TIll next time……
