Just a Blogger
You are just a blogger.
Just a blogger. I had to sit and ponder on that for a long while. Am I just a blogger?
No, I am not just a blogger, just like she is not just a secretary, or just a doctor, or just a mom. It is a way of life. It is not just something I do, it is who I am. Just like I am a wife, I am a mom, I am a Nana, and I am a Christian.
One of the questions bloggers are asked, do you make money?
The quick answer is some do. Some do not.
I have, and I hope to make more in the future. I use Amazon Affiliate, as well as a few other affiliate links within my posts generally.
I write reviews on products brands send me. products. They are NOT free. . I do have to pay taxes on them. As do any other credible blogger out there.
So, ladies and gents, next time you see me post a really cool product, remember it wasn’t free.
I spend anywhere from 2 hours to days on writing a post. If I am reviewing a product, again that takes a couple of days to weeks. I have to really test out the product. I really want what I write about work for my readers. I will not post a product that is junk. If I cannot give it at least 3 stars, I do not post it and I have had a few products like that.
I just don’t get it and not test it out. It takes time. My entire family generally tests out the product, especially if it is food. I want their input. Do they like it, what do they like about it? For movie reviews, I often drive 2 hours, to go see a pre-screening. I take along one of my children. It is great for time together for one on one, AND it is an extra brain to pick.
So next time, don’t say of, you’re just a blogger.
I am more than that.
